Every book from Award Winning Creations will carry the same small mark: a roundel with an open book at its centre and a ribbon marker hanging from the spine.
It follows an old habit of printers and publishers, who put a device on their books so a reader could tell at a glance where a book came from. On the spine the lettering drops away and only the inner disc remains, about six millimetres tall. On a title page or a screen, the full roundel names the press and the city it works from.
The lettering is set in EB Garamond, the same typeface used throughout this site.
